  2.          Like NQF, many genealogical  works  typeset  surnames so that
  3.          each letter is capped, enabling the reader  to readily browse
  4.          for  the  surnames he or she  is interested in.  Our indexing
  5.          program  reads  a  finished   query  file  and  automatically
  6.          extracts  and indexes all words, of three  letters  or  more,
  7.          that are capped, ignoring common acronyms such as SASE.

  9.          The  NQF  Surname  Index  lists  all  surnames  found in this
  10.          edition of NQF ON DISKETTE.   The  numbers refer to the query
  11.          numbers in respect to their position in  the query file, with
  12.          the first query being number 1, etc.

  14.          Queries can be accessed by number through QueryScan.  For all
  15.          practical  purposes,  those  numbers  are   meaningless  when 
  16.          viewing  the file through TextView.  However, the list itself
  17.          has  value  within TextView  as a  convenience in discovering
  18.          what names are found on this diskette edition.
